Re comparison of CTO with Lihir and Oxiana
Share investments are a long term investment. Over the last five years, investors in CTO would have made 200% to 300% returns up to Jan 2008.
Since Jan 2008, ALL shares have declined, so the last six months are not relevant.
CTO outperformed Lihir considerably and was not far off Oxiana's performance. What is critical to note is the pattern of CTO's price movements against the pattern of Lihir and Oxiana - the peaks and troughs occur at identical intervals. See attached graph, obtainable from Yahoo Finance at:
