If Olam's strategy is, as posted from the CEO's report, to become a leader in the almond industry then, short of a takeover of SHV, because they already have the acreage under cultivation (managed by SHV) it would require only the 'buying' of selected staff of SHV to continue as before, with the agricultural margin to Olam, leaving SHV with the processing and distribution contract? Olam probably already carry the agricultural/natural disaster risk asociated with the growing?
