If anyone can answer these questions I might be able to accept the theory.
Why did temperatures in the 20th century rise before carbon dioxide levels rose?
They didn't. We have been increasing CO2 levels from the start of the agricultural revolution an with rising population. But we see a great acceleration in that with the industrial revolution in the late 1800's and then with the huge population rise last century.
Why did we have an ice age when carbon dioxide levels were 10 times higher than today?
The last time there was this much carbon dioxide (CO2) in the Earth's atmosphere, modern humans didn't exist. Megatoothed sharks prowled the oceans, the world's seas were up to 100 feet higher than they are today, and the global average surface temperature was up to 11°F warmer than it is now.

Why did we have the Great Global Warming period following the last ice age?
Because the earths orientation to the sun changed.

Believers do not even attempt to answer these questions which indicates a political agenda not a scientific one.
I suggest you look around more, because the science has answered those questions and those that accept the science understand the answers to those questions.
To think that we humans have more effect on global temperatures than the sun over epochs is utter hubris and ignorance of solar cycles at various degrees.
The sun has been relatively constant during this period of man made climate change. The amount of CO2 we've pumped out is the changed factor causing warming.

We should be all very concerned by consensus science which only measures popularity, not critical thinking. Because when everyone is thinking the same, no one is thinking.
The consensus has formed over 60 years or more, based on the evidence and critical evaluation of that.
The great irony is that while everyone is extrapolating prior warming trends, and preparing accordingly, they should actually be preparing for a solar minimum cooling.
Actually we're not extrapolating past warming trends. We are assessing the impact of greenhouse gasses and determining how they have changed our path from the prior trend.

Hope that helps.
