MSD has been acquiring pharmaceuticals in asia-pacific and whilst i do not profess to know the intricacies of this industry i know that there are HUGE barriers to entry, huge profits especially from generics and that with aging population this industry is a cash cow.

Short term headwinds are a buying opportunity and im sure of the price stays this low it will be gobbled up. To take up this companies debt is a drop in the pond to a multi-national pharma industry.

also writedowns will be tax losses and carried forward. this SIP will be a leaner money maker after overpaying for Arrow and having to digest the bitter pill.
