i gave this a thumbs up for the line of thought but it didnt register - someone obviously didnt like the anti utopia bias.
as for the moral decline of society we have and always will have those who prefer to get things without working or earning them.
and as a copper recently said the blame lies squarely with ourselves.
take smacking eg - it is our fault that these people get on tv and demand that smacking a child is evil yet often there is no other way of instilling a sense of right and wrong. we are not born with it - it is learnt yet as we devolve the moral decline will continue to worsen.
more people need to speak their mind when things like the recent case of the woman smacking her 17 year old.
every day we get worse and in australia we now allow immigration from people who have no understanding of the rule of law.
so yes gaols are a reflection of society. the socialist ideal is impossible, a pipedream
