One big problem not much talked about is the increasing content of sour crude oil from the Saudis.

To restore it to a lighter, "clean" oil, thousands of tonnes of Mo (Moly) and cobalt are needed.

This could become the main reason why forecasted Demand for Mo could be much higher than thought.

Another process, the Coal to Liquid formula requires a lot of Moly.

Never mentioned is the new Chinese navy fleet which will need a lot of this stuff as wel. It hardens steel and is anti corrosive.

I also read that 35% of the cost of the big Oil Platforms is due to stainles steel (anti corrosive) being used. Moly is used in the fabrication of ss.

Another item is that Europeans don't want the Chinese Moly; apparently, the quality is not good enough.
