Assumption 1. agree
Assumption 2. then why was the winder upgraded if the old one could pull up the same capacity? oh yes, so it's capacity & speed, the winder will have it's limit to the max speed however speed will be much quicker than it was 60 years ago.
Assumption 3. a sustainable resource needs to be found, MCO are mining several reefs, some the grades will not make the cut but IMO we only need 1 or 2 to see it cover costs to find futher sustainable resources.
Assumption 4. like computers I'm sure mining technology has come a long way, sure the enviroment was not a consideration and the miners were able to do pretty much what they like. most australian households now have a Imac or an Ipad, can you tell me how many households had one of these back then or something with equal technology?
