I consider KFC (fried chicken) different to Donut King (donuts).
KFC can be eaten as a meal. Donuts are snacks and not a meal. I think with consumers becoming more health conscious, this will have a greater impact on Donut King compared to KFC or McDonalds.
Also I don't think Krispy Creme would be helping Donut King's sales. As I said, if you are buying a franchise, you better make sure that your product is the best on the market.
I don't see many customers at the Donut King stores I pass by.
