I say it will recover only in the sense that you wont have index funds needing to sell down like they did at close. Of course I dont know what is going to happen but you wont have that supply side dynamic. The high volume at close is not an expression of sentiment not does it have technical significance, just funds selling out of necessity. If you dont believe me check the after market auction volume for the stocks that are entering and exiting the asx200 and asx300 today. You will see they are all massively up. Tap just suffered more than most because buyers were too nervous (perhaps with good reason) to cover the massive sell side orders at close to the previous price.
