Hello All - Just thought this thread should be resurrected to include the current international travel by our newly elected Federal politicians, especially the PM. The then Opposition Leader (now PM) made the election result a clear mandate for climate change, and perhaps after too much celebration for a Souths (NRL) win, promised to emulate USA President Biden policies. Yes believe it or not. Now we find Deputy PM and the PM traversing the globe (air travel of course) on the basis of international diplomacy. Daily we see media reports of the PM duchessed throughout Europe but the piece de resistance was the warm (carbon footprint?) welcome to France. On display was the sheer opulence at his welcome by The French President. All those luxury limousines for single use by the hordes of special guests to invitation only events and on it goes. No climate change mitigation policies there, but all will change when the PM returns to Australia and demands that the working class in the suburbs and regions make the sacrifices to their already diminishing living standards.
