Guys, why al the doom and gloom. It seems like Prana are not going to trial in the US and not going to do any more animal studies if the EMA approves a trial design. The FDA have a poor record when it comes to HD trials and are currently holding up at least 3 HD treatments in different stages.
I would say it is far safer to trial ex USA, because they can also shut a trial down mid stage and ask the same questions. As such, I would say Prana is less likely to be sabotaged by the regulator and worth more testing in the EU or similar areas. Roche is doing the same. Their IONIS-HTTRx is being tested in Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom. That is unusual considering the drug was co developed in the USA by IONIS and the University of California. Pre clinical work was done in the USA. Trials overseas. Prana did preclinical overseas and attempted to trial in the USA. Brilliant.
