    these guys are sharp!

the media, industry and the experts on HC have been saying over the last 6mths-12mths that these raft of LNG projects
were going to deal with skill shortgages, cost overruns, wages blowouts, and schedule delays etc etc.
the media and HC have been saying that the Japanese earthquake will boost demand for LNG.

SO why on earth does Fitch now trumpet this dated news?

Sharp as a tack - Not!

(must be just to get some headlines?)

"Fitch expects funding to become more difficult as projects continue to face cost increases and timetable overruns.

"This may result in a deferral or cancellation of some proposed projects."

However, Fitch said there was cause for optimism due to growth in demand for Australian LNG exports in the medium term.

There would be increased demand from Japan in the longer term following the loss of some nuclear power capacity from the recent earthquake.
