I think that the institutions are selling and the shorters are having a field day.
Add to that the oil price under $30.00 and the Brazil Tailings Dam problems and I would expect BHP to go under $10.00.
At this point its debt may be called up so there will be a low ball capital raising.
This must be affecting a lot of super funds so the selling is becoming a panic.
