Guess it comes down to your own analysis. If you think the company is solid and there will be future earnings, then the campaign against it is good news - you can buy more cheaply. Like when the AFR ran its "minors buying alcohol" campaign and we all got to top up at $5-something. That seemed very cheap, and they hadn't even launched in the US then. Since, they've continued to grow, they've launched successfuly in the US, they have a toe-hold in the UK, and the price is barely double what it was after "Mickey-Mouse-gate". Again, unless the company somehow gets shut down by ASIC or the Senate inquiry, it seems cheap. If you're buying hoping that sentiment alone will drive the stock higher, be prepared for a rough couple of months, as the AFR now has a steady source of stories from consumer advocate types keen to being Afterpay down simply because it offers credit.
