This post is the definition of confirmation and selective bias. First you have a preconceived sentiment and you’re selecting data subjectively to support your sentiment.

This in itself isn’t an issue, arguably every post here is based on selective bias.

The fundamental failing you’ve made is categorising your bias as evidence based and others as faith based.

I do agree as a non commercialised spec only a few percent of one’s portfolio should be in this, although frankly that’s simply up to an individuals risk tolerance.

Probably the most astonishing part of your post is giving the slightest credence to dots. I’m yet to read a single logical post that can’t be comprehensively rebutted. As a qualified CPA with a couple of decades in corporate finance, his attempts as analysis have at best been incomplete and at worst factually incorrect and essentially defamatory.

The fortunate thing when threads get posters so enthusiastic and willing to put so much effort into lowering the price, is that it highlights how much they want in, they just want in cheaper.
