This chart also suggests a move up as we have been to the extremes. (52 MAV, 7% envelope) The swings on this chart are bigger than any other in my data from the last 10 years or so
and to have massive swings together is even more rare. Exceeding the boundaries is also quite rare and the amount on the last drop is new territory in my data. I suspect the recent (last few months) action is possibly something new. Volt you got any examples of expanding patterns his large in you history books? Using this chart alone one might be forgiven for arguing we have just had a slow motion crash. 20%+ move in most markets is big.
