"Non genuine parts" has been a major factor in the automotive industry for many years now - not sure how many of these non genuine parts are 3D printer generated but it would make sense now that this technology is available.
It is probably cheaper now to replace certain panels on a car than pay the labour to panel beat them. Whilst many insurers stipulate only the use of genuine parts many are becoming a bit more relaxed on this policy - much to the detriment of car manufacturers.
