You can trade Bitcoin and/or the other 800+ cryptocurrencies with your internet 'community' if you like. However, Bitcoins will never be legally or officially accepted as currency in Australia. Australia's currency is the Australian Dollar.
By the way, the concept of using a commodity as a currency is old. The only difference this time is that nothing physically exists as such, but is made by software to appear to do so.
You could call it the ultimate type of 'fraud' - not perpetrated by anyone except the person witnessing that something happened and so believing that the said thing actually exists.
Also, don't you find it ironic that the people making these cryptocurrencies go on and on about how 'bad' the government is for 'printing' all this money, then, at the same time, they issue billions and billions of 'coins' themselves!!!!???? LOL.
