That is a distorted selective view of history AJ. There was a jewish minority living in that region of the ottoman empire. They had been a majority, but were expelled a few times through history. Palestine was never a country in recent history, and the only people who designated Jerusalem as a state capital were the jews. When the Romans arrived in the area it was the hebrews who fought the Romans, and lost. Looking at what Hamas did and Israel's reaction, I guess it is a waste of time trying to figure out who is the bad guy here.
