It is amazing how we all assume in our arguments that the military will do our politicians bidding however unpopular.Saddam found out that this was his weak link in the end.His dictatorship lost the people and his armed forces.Whether this can happen in the west again[Vietnam was the last]is yet to be seen.When you look at some of fiasco type results after a military action you have to think that the gap between the military and government may be widening.Multiculturalism around the world will speed up this widening.It is already being asked 'who does the government represent'.
