I agree there is no justification for terror. How one separates terror from war I am not quite sure apart from a formal declaration. Unfortunately I do not believe force will solve the problem - from both sides point of view. Perhaps that should be 'fortunately' as the recognition of such may prevent a lot of lives being lost.

You got the gist of my post correct. Regarding Thatcher, she was going to win that election but perhaps retaking the Falklands after the Argentinian invasion increased her majority. Lives were lost on both sides, on land sea and in the air, the General Belgrano incident was the largest loss of life in a single incident and I do not understand why it was attacked after moving away from the scene.
