The Directors of Amadeus Energy Ltd have been notified by their
operator on the Red Creek prospect, Trio Operating Inc, that the
Rash Barrett "A" No 24-1 well (Amadeus working interest: 50%) has
been spudded and reached a depth of 220 feet as at 19 February 2003
(Texas time).

The proposed target depth is anticipated to be at 2,700 feet. The
Rash Barrett "A" No 24-1 well is a step-out well, following up on
the earlier success on the Rash Barrett 24-1 well.

The Company expects to drill up to 5 locations on the Red Creek
prospect, Oklahoma before 30 June 2003.
