Not that I should be offering you tax advice chairs, but you can only offset capital gains against capital losses (I assume you are an investor as you have a business)- not ordinary income.
IVX SP seems to be holding in the 4c range, I know my opinion is not going to be popular but I personally believe it will go down to the 2c range (possibly sub 2c but not lower than 1c) if they fully draw down the $17m due to sustained selling on market (let's hope it doesn't come down to that).
I really hope w27 is correct, that this funding is short-term and not for working capital plus the Phase II's. Does anyone know how much the Phase II's cost? I believe someone posted that it wasn't much so I can't figure why they went for $17m? Looking at their last quarterly for 30 Sept 2014, the burn was around $2m which if roughly the same for each quarter would mean $8m for the year. Thus the funding arrangement could last nearly 2 years if fully drawn down. Hopefully they can negotiate a deal for one or all of the Phase II's with decent upfronts to avoid fully drawing down this funding arrangement.
It was good to see directors buy in not long after announcing the funding deal, that was a good sign IMO as Greg Collier etc would be aware that they could buy cheaper. That to me, indicates they have confidence a deal could eventuate soon for one of their Phase II's.
