Over the years some of my best buys have been falling knives. There has to be a reason for the latest falls. Today the market is rising yet LYC is falling. There is no great global today that was not there yesterday. This means it is a LYC or a rare earth problem. By now the board would have had to issue a news item if there was a serious problem internally. No news is therefore good news. There has not been any news regarding the rare earth situation or we would have had some news by now. Again, no news is good news.
So what is the problem. I assume it is a large holder dumping for reasons only known to them. They probably have to meet a financial deadline and it appears today is the day.
My decision is to make hay while the sun shines and accumulate some more. DYOR I'm often wrong. Maybe I'll get cut with the falling knife, we''l know in a week or two.
