Anyway. This thread ultra-quiet considering mega fall yesterday. GMG is my biggest holding. Ouch. I re-read annual report relevant parts yesterday and GMG has no US assets that I can see (c.f. Centro 65%) although does have New York office. Also its multi-currency funding approach has US$ 1%. Therefore I don't see why so savagely affected (I also have shres in CFX which dropped less than 3%).
Business report on ABC AM this morning also stipulated Goodman Group (and most other Aussie LPT's) have very different asset/debt situation to Centro. i.e. not US based, not anywhere nearly as highly geared - about 35% compared 75%. Also assets themselves are of uniformly far higher quality.
Hoping for a solid bounce soon for GMG. Hard to know of course in current market.
