I don't usually post when stocks drop on announcments, but I thought I would share what I think.

The market, as we all know, is just so ready to punish bad news, so what we are seeing is that typical reaction. Sell now ask questions later.

I am not totally up to date with the actual details of this writedown (obviously would be better without it) but the reaction of this magnitude on a decent reputable company, safe debt profile, good forward order book, and a reiteration of earnings just amazes me.

The sell down may have more to go, but one thing is for sure, the market has priced in alot more than was just announced.

I don't own DOW but am looking to enter for a short term bounce. Very very oversold on what they just announced. Fear and sell stops will usually create good trading opportunities.
