A few posters mentioned some time ago that a cap raising is on the cards this year and of course once a rumour starts, the SP will move in strange ways (although not strange for some) until the announcement is made.

I am personally tired of cap raising, particularly the interim when your money is locked in. I would rather wait for the price to drop to what the SPP is and see what happens. GDY investors are still suffering as we speak - those who have loyally held onto their SPP shares.

One thing is for sure, I wonder how they are going to make the SPP attractive when they have been dead silent on Penola. Who knows, maybe an announcement re Penola could make the above a moot point and change everything, including my current negative view. Perhaps they will not announce a cap raising until Penola is resolved or the government makes a policy announcement. Who knows, but at this stage, a lot of uncertainty.
