Unfortunately the data is three days old so flying blind for last couple of days.
If that number has dropped significantly from 60 million shorted, then covering rally less likely. But if the short trades of the last few trading days were net shorted by large amounts and the number has grown higher than 60 million, then a potential covering rally may be more likely.
