Fan South -1 thoughts

I thought I would change the subject to the well that is underway with reslts expected in about 4 weeks.

From looking at all the material released on Fan South by FAR and Cairn a couple of things stand out for discussion and hopefully input from the more knowledgeable geo posters:

1) Fan South -1 is drilling stacked Late Cretaceous fan reservoirs and on FAR graphics underlaying it is a Albian Fan structure called Alhamdulillah. This is represented rather differently in Cairn presentations, in fact Fan South is labelled as a Cenemonian Prospect?

2) This begs the question is the Alhamdulillah prospect being tested as well? They are drilling to 5700m in water depth of 2,200m whereas Fan-1 was drilled to 4,900m in 1,400m water. So they are going deeper but I suppose the formations may dip to the south anyway.

3) From FAR's AGM presentation slide 25 it rather appears that the Fan-1 structure joins Alhamdulillah or overlies it. The prospects along the slope and floor are essentailly all from the same source and part of a widespread potential reservoir. Cairn indicates that at Fan South -1 "the Lower Cretaceous base of slope turbidite fan prospect is equivalent to FAN-1 (2014) oil discovery". So I guess in a way they ARE testing for better reservoirs at this location but if positive they may be able to extrapolate to Fan-1 (which I am sure they would have liked to drill).

Any thoughts on these observations? What are people's expectations fopr Fan South-1 given the 18-24% COS from FAR and Cairn??
