ABC Online: Israeli troops have detained about 2,000 Palestinian men and boys for questioning, following a raid using tanks, armoured cars, and helicopters on the Tulkarem refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
The raids are linked to the suicide bombing of a cafe in the nearby Israeli town of Netanya last weekend, which injured about 50 people.
The armoured columns moved into Tulkarem in the early hours of the morning sealing it off.
All males between the ages of 14 and 40 were told to gather in the courtyard of a local school or face punishment.
An army spokesman confirmed the troops were searching for known militants but refused to give further details.
