Guy's, I use Ichimoku charts quite a bit (used a lot in Japan and Fx) and this study has its own cycle analysis with key cycles being - 9,17,26,33,42,65,76,129,172 and 257 days/weeks

You take your plots from intermediate highs and lows. The more counts that end at, or close to the same point in the future, the more likely that this period will see an end of trend and reverse.

I was trying to use dailys and kinda forcing the plots so to show what I wanted to see. So I scrapped that, and went to a weekly plot which worked well. Here, longer term cycles have all ended in 2007, with several in mid April and one next week.

I don't subscribe to cycle analysis as the be all and end all, but it might help give weight to Fang's assertions. Weekly cycles can be powerful, and the weekly shows well that we are just starting to possibly enter a phase 2 leg.
