Like I said, I was reading about a Toshiba Sm-Fe0.8-Co0.2 magnet that has interesting possibilities for the Infinity Train (just thinking how hot those rail trips across Australia must get) and it turns out that Bain Capital is also trying to woo shareholders into a deal to take Toshiba private, ostensibly for their chips but not loudly. So maybe Bain is also looking at this Sm magnet IP. It comes with, regardless.
I have often remarked on the potential value of the samarium byproduct of Lynas's NdPr mining. The S in SEG. There is about as much Sm as Pr in the world and I believe Mt Weld is well endowed though not amazing.
