You cadets from the Little Luddites anti-BEV-er Club have NEVER understood the market that is coming. The NdPr mining boom is a boon to several technologies, and as a result multiple rare earths will appreciate in value.

Take Gadolinium as an example. This element can be used for refrigeration; search "gadolinum refrigeration" and filter for the last year; Gd-compounds have creds by virtue their giant magnetocaloric effect.

Take Samarium: Currently cheap but its high Curie temp and mission-critical capabilities. Sm-Co and similar Sm magnets have Curie temperatures which are ABOVE high-power high-current high-temp EV ops range and would not need liquid cooling where Dy-NdFeB does When your unmanned mining vehicle stops moving down in the mine, you got a bg problem. When your Infinity Train goes to hell in the heat of the outback and stops dead - you got a big problem.
[NOTE: The "Curie temperature" is the temperature above which the permanent magnet permanently loses all magnetism; the magnet cannot be re-magnetized but must be recycled back to individual elements for full recovery.]

Take Dysprosium - Despite being First Logic-Lacking Luddite ausheds' favorite element to kick around with his dirty horseshoes, it is considered one of the most critical of all REEs for its ability to protect NdFeB magnets from thermal demagnetization - a role it will continue in for many years.

The abundances of these elements are low, but not that low. They are all soon to be more available than ever. They will be leveraged.
