A defendant being tried for some heinous crime is facing sentencing by a judge and he/she is asked to pick one from a list. Well, they'd have to be stark raving mad or high on some illegal substance to pick Isaac Charles Parker (the hanging judge) wouldn't they? The converse is true as well of course. Yet in theory, all the judges on the list are equally proficient, competent and impartial. But would you, as a defendant, choose Isaac (RIP) in this instance?
