Further to our posts yesterday Jovial,interesting article in Weekend Australian Business section regarding oil majors trying to get involved in Iraq oilfields.They are being restricted to twenty year technological and service contracts and not being allowed to participate in oil profits.Chinese have just signed a deal wich was done prior to US invasion,however seems legislation for further deals is bogged down in Iraqi parliament now,and does'nt look like any more deals will get done any time soon.I agree that it is cheaper to drill there because it is on land,but if the companies cant make serious money I think they will lose interest.
