The fact is Meridian are accumulating, whether or not they are the mysterious 25600, one would guess "yes"". If there is a potential take over gaining pace, one would assume the peoples at Meridian would be approached first, testing the waters on a figured sum. This may also be a reason in the sudden increase in their share holdings. Inside trading should not be an issue under these circumstances. Just two companies getting a feel before any serious negotiations.
Or it could also be the SP has been lack luster for so long. The most minor bit of excitement has holders producing every theory imaginable. If the current uptrend continues for another fortnight or two, then we can believe there is something going on behind the scene.
