I find it hard to believe that FAR knew of higher offers for COP's stake that COP declined, I cannot imagine COP running to FAR every time an offer came in and said 'look at this one'. Similarly I cannot imagine Total or someone letting FAR know we just bid $X for COP's share in case you were interested in PE'ing.
Normal business practice would be only to reveal the offer COP decided to accept to any parties that are able to PE?
