I agree that we have an impotent opposition and an apparent disregard for our democratic traditions. It’s not a good combination. Though I guess some feel otherwise, it looks a lot to me as though the federal government is showing that it’s actually irrelevant. The states are doing the best they can (yeah feel free anti-danners) and the Federal government appears to be unnecessary - well maybe worse - trying to punch above their weight in the international sphere with all the grace of a tourism commercial.
