B4b I recall someone mentioned the day rate at one of the IP's and I think it was up around the $ US 350,000 mark which is considerably below the $US680,000 COP are contracted to pay. Rates have most likely dropped since then.

For a brand new state of the art rig that would be a good rate at the time and I can't see it changing untill COP' s contract expires in 2017, it could be re negotiated if COP takes up the extra 2 years...rates however could be on the rise again by 2017..who knows.

It's possible, if the initial contract was just for three wells, that a lower rate could be re negotiated for the balance but COP are good operations managers, they appear to have been generous to date and we have a top line rig so don't expect things to change much IMO..the last thing we need is corners being cut..

At this stage the contingent wells numbers are not set in stone but on a well by well basis pending results from the current round ,odds are there will be 3 drilled...
