Been some great posts on this thread. Our motoring needs differ, but we can all agree that whether it's acceleration, 4WD or long range; you may only use it once a year but you're screwed if you don't have it.
Until more charging stations pop up I guess range (and towing) may be solved by the option of a larger or ancillary battery, just as you can opt for a long range tank now.
And bring on the Sports EV's: I'll bet that when Mr. V8 Commodore is rounded up by a sleek shiny silent Tesla or Merc the next thing he'll be googling is EV. Whether he chooses to buy or not he will be talking about it.
They are they're own marketing machine.
