In its analysis of JobKeeper, the federal Treasury raised concerns about businesses deliberating gaming the system to qualify. The Tax Office says most did not.
As research commissioned by the Labor Party shows almost $20 billion went to businesses that enjoyed an increase in turnover while receiving JobKeeper assistance, the ATO said despite tip-offs from the public it found almost all businesses complied with the program’s eligibility criteria.
