Other way round. There was a (British Mandated) Palestine. Israel is the invention, a UN imperial and racist offering in the aftermath of WW2. Germany should have had to pay the price, not the millions of arabs who were kicked out of their homes at gun point and have lived under occupation for generations.
Australia should have had at least abstained from the vote. There's never going to be an end to Islamic terrorism as long as radicals and nutters like Monis can always point to the injustice of this issue. I've seen firsthand how Israeli border guards treat arabs like vermin, abusing even women and children. (Oh, and I'm pro Libs on most issues)
