the Bible states the Jewish religion lead by
Abraham came from Chaldea, which is modern eastern Iraq, and went to Canaan (Lebanon/Palestine/IsXrael)
then the Jews under Joseph went to live in Egypt
then they return to Canaan with Moses
the Bible later states the Jews were exiled back to Babylon (who would have ruled Chaldea)
then the Persians allowed the Jews to return to Canaan (Israel)
then the Romans booted the Jews out of what they called Palestine (Israel)
it seems the Jews were never a race but merely a Babylonian religious sect
