Does anyone on this thread agree with the IRAQ war, Afganistan war and impeding was on IRAN.

    3 parts.

    1. Yes to the Iraq war for too many reasons to go into now.

Bit...absolutely yes to staying there now that the tide appears to have well and truly turned in favour of the good guys. To abandon the democracy now with all the people who would be subject to barbaric reprisals would be truly unconscionable

    2. Absolutely and so too does the UN and Nato.

    3. Iran...welll that depends on its nuclear wqeapon programmes doesnt it?

David Hicks saw both sides of the fence, and decided the other was just in his view and acted accordingly.

Dude his side of the fence is on the side or radical islam comlete with jihad and blwoing innocent peoiple to kingdom come. Irgo...the wrong side. You make your choices you pay your dues.

Fact he was in a hell hole for 5 years and subjected to unimaginable torture at his hosts.

This has been done to death on other threads. Suffice to say he is still alive which is infinitely better than the outcome could have been if he had been dealt with in Afghanistan

G was NOT the hell hole you want to make it out to be. Unpleasant...for sure but by all accounts all the mistreatment that smacks of "torture" ceased in 2003.

Indeed inspections by EU Foreign ministers found it totally acceptable and better than the standard in most of the jails in Belgium.

And dont trot out solitary confinement. Heaps of Aussie prisoners cop the same treatment for years on end.

And at the end of the day was not convicted of a single crime.

    Is that justice

He fought with our enemy and alinged with a declared terror group.

He got what he deserved and is lucky to be alive. Thats justice
