As I write, Melbourne hero, Brendan Keilar is being farewelled with a full Requiem Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorn.
His fellow hero, tourist Paul De Waard, is said to be showing improvement in hospital, and his family are now at his side. The other victim is also said to be recovering.
My thoughts are with the wife, children and family of Mr. Keilar this morning. I'm sure those of all those who are reading this will be also.
