My legal back ground is limited, but I think it is inferring that if this was handled by an Australian court we would be likely to receive a favourable outcome. That is that the PE period for FAR has not yet been triggered.
The fact that this is being handled by the Senegal courts should not make a difference in fact it may prove to be an advantage as justice must be seen to be done. Also the Senegal government will need to come out on the right side of this, otherwise the government in opposition will jump all over it.
My take is WPL will be moving on and that COP are going to need devine interviention to talk their way out of this one.
