No takeover would be at these prices . If a predator is buying now (I don't know), then they are doing well to get them and the market is helping them . I have not seen any recent substantial holder notices so I can only assume traders are dumping . The value of INP as close is $139 million or a tad over what a Japanese company paid for just 10% of Basker MG from Beach or just 4 million barrels 2P . That doesn't mean a takeover for INP would get it for that price but as an entree they could sure get a chunk well below fair value .
Beach just cashed out 10% of one project and with that money could take out a fair chunk of a 75% stake in the biggest onshore oilfield in Australia in a basn that they know well . Just my speculation .
