The rate to attract workers to hard work needs to be high.
Many Australian’s are employed “occupying positions” rather than to actually physically work. Those sinecures are overpaid, real workers need to be paid more than those who merely “have a position”. Manual labor needs to be well paid to be attractive, as it is on building sites.
Pay enough and people will work.
