The Puntlanders understand livestock,fisheries and light industries. These are the things that can make a difference in the short term to their standard of living.
Even if a rig turned up to-morrow and started drilling, the improvement of their standard of living will in the short term will be zero. The only people who will benefit will be shareholders of the companys invested. This is good for us.
If they have improvement to their lives in the short term through the development of these industries it will be better for us.
This will take the pressure of the people who have a vested interest in the oil outcomes in Puntland.
Farole won't get aid talking about oil.
The man is no fool.
Puntlanders are spread throughout the world, these are people who survive.
These are people who can get on a boat and highjack ships. They've not hero's on a website.
Whinging and moaning dosen't improve their lives.
