    If FAS issued 220 million shares for GWR shares one must

    Debit an asset

    Credit shareholders equity

    One must also use the logic of lower of cost or net relaisable value - the auditors obviously deemed the cost aspect to be lower. You see Otakou when you purchase or gain ownership over an asset one must recognise it in the books - there is no such thing as a credit credit entry.
